Artigiani is the studio name of New Jersey based artist, Edoardo Mungiello. He is a graduate of the School of the Visual Arts, New York City, and has studied independently at l'Accademia delle Belle Arti, Florence and Oxford University's Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. He has also studied briefly at the Arts Students League, New York, under Nelson Shanks, and is currently completing his dissertation for a Doctor of Arts and Letters at Drew University. His work is in private homes and collections on both sides of Atlantic. Edoardo has been trained in the great artisanal traditions of Italy, hence the Artigiani label. His grandfather, Francesco was a sculptor, and his father Michele a master carpenter. A first generation American, he has worked hard to respect and integrate Old World traditions of aesthetics and craft into his own work, being trained specifically in the Renaissance pictorial tradition. His scholarship and his travels make him uniquely qualified to offer real advice and insight on any customer unsure of just what they might want, or what could be appropriate for their home or office. The solutions will always be above and beyond the world of everyday faux. From a simple enhancement to an ambitious pictorial project, from a child's room to a library vault, Artigiani will meet your expectations and surpass them, while respecting your financial resources. Artigiani hopes to have the honor of creating with their hands what lies in your heart. | .jpg) |
